Film made by Alejandro Ramirez

Alejandro Ramirez, the filmmaker, will be talking about the concept and idea behind the music filmLight the way.”

Alejandro Ramirez works as a filmmaker and cook. Born in Bogota,Colombia. Lives and works in Amsterdam. Co-founder of La Cocina. In the winter of 2021/22 he went in search of the Light, or rather the mystery of light. With a small crew and this song in mind, he started this music video as a journey along memories. With rhythm and sounds, he filmed a path to reflection in a beautiful location and forest. Tonight he tells the background of the film.

Viper Mad

When you're a Viper Mad, you crave a joint. (The dictionary says that viper is a snake; reminiscent of the hissing sound of someone lighting a nice cigarette.

Viper Mad is also the name of the new project of Bjorn Uyens, who has previously caused a furor with Dress (intense guitar rock with a rush of adrenaline) and Dassuad (atmospheric indie pop that evoked comparisons to dEUS and Sparklehorse). Now these musicians come up with a catchy cocktail of indie rock, dub, coolwave, jazz and even afrobeat. It delivers a rock-solid and consistent concert yet varied with several instant classics that won't let you go and crawl deep under your skin.

Light the Way

Light the Way is the key track on Viper Mad's new album, to be released in spring 2023. Viper Mad is a collective that has been playing together in various lineups since 2018. For the short tour in April and May 2023, they are Bjorn Uyens bass and vocals, Hassie Dune, beats and percussion and Ania Brzezinska, trumpet and vocals.
