Every Monday evening we organize 'Bar la papa and the conquest of bread' together with SocieTijd de Gezelligheid.We serve 3 course meal made from rescued food for which we ask a donation. You can donate in euros, but also in hourly euros.

Where does the name come from?
Bar la papa is short for "Barter around the potato," and the potato is something you can get unlimited for free at the Amsterdam Food Center. A barter is a trade system. La papa means potato in Spanish.
The Conquest of Bread is a book by the anarchist Peter Kropotkin. He believed that any revolution is doomed to failure if the revolution does not first focus on 'the conquest of bread'; Only when everyone is assured of food can we talk about the rest of the revolution, which must further focus on the well-being of all.
