Loop van de Hoop 2

8 January 2025 @ 18:00 - 21:00

Work session

Walk of Hope:

Discover how you can contribute or participate in the Loop van de Hoop project. An art and culture route along the Pepijnpad, intended to support visitors in dealing with loss in all its forms.

Each of us faces loss. And each of us knows something that helped him or her deal with that loss.

That is the starting point of the brainstorming session about the Loop of Hope that will take place on January 8 at Het Groene Veld.

In the anniversary year of Amsterdam 750, the Pepijnpad will be renamed the Loop van de Hoop (Walk of Hope)The Pepijnpad runs around Het Groene Veld and was created by local residents including Groene Velders following the death of Pepijn (14) in January 2021.

The Loop of Hope offers visitors to the Pepijnpad baggage to better deal with a loss, in whatever form that loss presents itself: death of a loved one, one's own health, contact with others, future prospects, and so on.

A whole range of activities have been devised for this purpose. An important part are the inspirations that will be offered on the path itself. Think of a poem, video, an audio fragment, an assignment, a question, anything that can give someone something to deal with the loss. For these inspirations, we like to draw on the personal and cultural baggage of all Amsterdam residents.

On Wednesday, January 8, we will hold a brainstorming session to jointly create as many 'inspirations' as possible.

Bring your life experience and participate.
Time: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Place: the Social Area in the Poortgebouw at Het Groene Veld. It ends with lunch.
