Peppe Leone is an Italian virtuoso and experimentalist of percussion. In the last 17 years he dedicated his life to the evolution of the tambourine and to do this he studied at the conservatory with great masters of percussion from all over the world. Such as Arnaldo Vacca, Alfio Antico, Arash Yari, Prakash Bangalore and many more. In the meantime, he performed frequently live mainly in Europe. He developed a lot of new percussion technics and focussed more on the frame drum and the Italian tambourine ("tamburello") and this gave him a unique style that he called ‘trad-avanguard’. He is considered one of the best tambourine players in the international scene.
