Lecture by Barbara Soesan (Dutch)
Many people experience something remarkable related to death at some point in their lives.
Think of a clock that stops at the exact moment of someone’s passing. A butterfly landing on your finger just as you are overwhelmed by grief. A dream so vivid it feels like a message. Or the sudden, profound knowing that a loved one has died, even though they were far away.
You might call it spiritual, mystical even, but at heart these are very human experiences. And we are searching for how to listen to them, how to understand them, and how to give them meaning.
In this lecture, Barbara Soesan explores what is known about these kinds of experiences from psychological, cultural, and spiritual perspectives. Afterwards, there is room to share — for those who wish — what we have experienced ourselves or what touches us in this topic.
Admission is free.
