Werner has been a guitarist and songwriter for almost 35 years.
His Dutch lyrics are sometimes cynical and angry, sometimes naively sweet and somewhat romantic, but always authentic and from the heart. He has played his songs in beautiful large halls, the streets of Galway and many a squatbars in Amsterdam.
Nowadays he plays (viola) violin in the starting chamber music ensemble De Ruwe Engel. Especially for the Groene Veld, he returns from his singer-songwriter retirement, together with his old comrade-in-arms Camilo on double bass. He plays a selection of hidden gems and old hits from his extensive repertoire.
